Terms and Conditions of Service
Welcome to Thika Pest Control. By accessing or using our services, whether online, in-person, or through any platform, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. These terms outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both Thika Pest Control and our clients to ensure safe, effective, and professional pest control, mosquito net, sanitary, and cleaning services.
1. Scope of Services
Thika Pest Control provides professional services, including but not limited to:
- Pest Control Services:
- Bedbug control
- Rodent management (rats, mice, and other rodents)
- Cockroach and ant treatment
- Mosquito management
- Termite inspections and treatment
- Bee, wasp, and spider control
- Scorpion and snake control
- Lice, flea, tick, silverfish, dust mite, and cricket control
- Bat and stray cat management
- Narrow bee fly control
- Mosquito Net Solutions:
- Magnetic mosquito nets for doors, windows, balconies, and patios
- Retractable magnetic mosquito nets
- Sanitary Solutions:
- Sanitary bins for homes, offices, hotels, clinics, schools, gyms, churches, restaurants, spas, salons, warehouses, agrovets, and pharmacies
- Cleaning & Hygiene Services:
- Home, office, and commercial cleaning
- Bedroom, living room, dining area, and guest room cleaning
- Floors, walls, ceilings, tables, sofas, and shelves
- Post-construction cleaning
- General housekeeping and compound cleaning
- Electronics cleaning
- Airbnb and hotel room cleaning
- Products:
- Pesticides, rodenticides, termiticides, and herbicides
- Protective gears for technicians
- Cleaning agents and chemical solutions
- Mosquito nets and related accessories
2. Client Responsibilities
To ensure efficient and effective service delivery, clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information regarding location, pest type, and service requirements.
- Allow access to all areas requiring treatment or inspection.
- Follow aftercare instructions provided by Thika Pest Control.
- Notify Thika Pest Control of any hazards, allergies, or sensitivities relevant to the service.
- Ensure that pets, children, or sensitive equipment are safely secured during treatment.
- Make timely payments according to the agreed service quotation or invoice.
Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may affect service outcomes and warranty eligibility.
3. Appointment and Scheduling
- Services are scheduled based on client availability and Thika Pest Control’s operational calendar.
- Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for rescheduling or cancellation.
- Last-minute cancellations may incur fees if resources were already allocated.
- Thika Pest Control reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, staff unavailability, or emergency service needs.
4. Service Fees and Payment
- Service fees are determined based on the type, scope, and duration of service.
- Payments may be made via cash, mobile money, bank transfer, or other agreed methods.
- All invoices are payable as per the terms stated in the service agreement.
- Late payments may attract additional fees or delay in service delivery.
- Quotations are valid for a specified period and are subject to change based on service scope or site conditions.
5. Service Warranty and Guarantees
Thika Pest Control strives to deliver professional and effective services. Our warranty policy includes:
- Bedbug treatment: 30 days – 3 months
- Termite control: 6 months – 1 year
- Cockroach & ant treatment: 1 – 3 months
- Rodent control: 1 – 3 months
- Mosquito control: 1 month
Warranty coverage is conditional upon:
- Following post-treatment instructions
- Allowing access for follow-up visits
- Reporting any persistent infestation within the guarantee period
Services outside these conditions or resulting from external reinfestation may not be covered under warranty.
6. Liability and Disclaimers
- Thika Pest Control is not liable for damages caused by client negligence, misuse, or failure to follow instructions.
- We are not responsible for infestations or service issues resulting from external factors beyond our control, including neighboring properties.
- While all reasonable precautions are taken, Thika Pest Control is not liable for accidental damage to property, equipment, or plants during service delivery, unless caused by gross negligence.
- Clients accept that pest control treatments involve chemicals and equipment that may pose risks if misused.
7. Product Use and Safety
- All products supplied by Thika Pest Control must be used as directed by trained personnel.
- Clients must follow safety instructions provided for chemicals, baits, and protective equipment.
- Thika Pest Control is not responsible for improper use of products after delivery or installation.
- Any known allergies or sensitivities must be communicated prior to service.
8. Confidentiality and Privacy
- Client information collected during service delivery, payment, or registration is confidential.
- Data is handled in accordance with Kenyan privacy laws and the Thika Pest Control Privacy Policy.
- Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties except for authorized service providers or legal requirements.
9. Intellectual Property
- All content, logos, trademarks, and materials belonging to Thika Pest Control are protected under intellectual property laws.
- Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of our materials without prior written consent is prohibited.
10. Termination of Service
- Thika Pest Control reserves the right to terminate service agreements if:
- Clients fail to comply with terms and conditions
- Payment obligations are not met
- Unsafe conditions prevent service delivery
- Clients engage in abusive or threatening behavior toward staff
- Clients may terminate services by providing written notice. Refunds will be processed according to the Refund Policy.
11. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes arising from service delivery will be addressed through direct communication with Thika Pest Control.
- Efforts will be made to resolve issues amicably.
- If necessary, disputes may be escalated to mediation or legal proceedings under Kenyan law.
12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Thika Pest Control reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions periodically.
- Changes will be communicated via our website or direct client communication.
- Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
